Is FoW Farming Dead? (For Warrior and Dervish?)
First of all, I apologize if there's already another thread like this, but this question has been bothering me. With the implementation of the +25 armor cap, is farming the Fissure of Woe possible with the warrior or dervish class anymore?
Now, I really enjoy using my warrior, especially for FoW since her high armor managed to tank all the spiders in the area if need be, but with the armor cap, I'm certain this is no longer possible. I do have a dervish that I've farmed FoW a few times with, although maintaining his enchantments is really an annoying chore, and without the extra armor, won't he too fall victim to the cave spiders?
So basically, if the armor cap has ruined FoW farming with the warrior and dervish classes, I can't go back to get more shards...and this could become a major problem since I'm trying to get 3 extra pieces of obsidian armor.
If FoW is no longer farmable using these two classes, which one can I use to go back at it?

Well this might bother some people here but I also never tried this. Anyway Go W/MO baltazars spirit-mending-healing breeze life vicarously(whatever it is) and kill stuff. You wont take 0 damage as physical resistance did but you will have like 8 pip of regen 4 is gone so 4 total regen and life vicarously will heal you prety good. Other than that you can put spare point into smiting os that baltazars spirit could give you mroe adrenaline.
I NEVER TRIED THIS JUST IDEA

Short answer: No. As with any major update, builds must be adapted, especially for solo-farming. There is, for example, a W/Mo variant for FoW farming that is totally unaffected. Please look in the sticky thread that started all the W/X Spider farm.

nub question: what is the armor cap? pls explain thoroughly because i am in need of specifics =] Does this mean that terra tanking with the different armor buffs is nerfed? Or is this an old update, because for some reason I wasn't able to even farm ice imps with ele resist, dolyak, watch yourself! on.

Because few skills can't raise your armor above +25 AL. Only the highest one counts (like if you have Dolyak, Physical and WY!, only Physical will count - as for me). And no, warrior farm isn't nerfed, because you get only 3-4 damage from attacks, without WY! will be 8-10 damage. That's pretty much, but maybe we can take hero bonder?

^ If you have Dolyak Signet(+31 armour) and Watch Yourself!(+26 armour) you only get +31 armour.
OT: I have no idea about Dervish builds, but Racthoh's W/Mo version of his spider farm still works. Saything that, I still think it can be done with Dolyak alone. As for UW, as far as I know only the W/Me build will work (the one with Signet of Midnight + Epidemic).

War/ele or war/ass can still farm fow easily.
Dunno bout dervish, tho.
I usually farm fow with duo monk-war, the fastest way imo.

War/Me can still solo spiders without any trouble. Since the most common builds bought physical resistence and watch yourself (which I only used to cover healing signet), I'll just replace WY with something else. Probably I will survive or another attack

I dont think dervs will have any problem because they only used the +40 from physical resistance anyway and mystic regen to give full regen even against spiders. well thats the build i used, ppl can also recharge forms now with the new sunspear pve only skill, derv farming is possibly easier in FoW now than it will be for warriors coz they cant boost armour asmuch and didnt use enchants so mystic regen wouldnt help them.
Solo farming is gonna change alot now with the new skills, i just think itll get easier.

I found using Knights insignia and Physical Resistance to be enough.
I take 0dmg and the odd 3dmg from time to time.
I just made up a build and it worked.
Enraging Charge/Sprint
Healing Signet -Well for running past skales
Lion's Comfort
Whirlwind Attack
Hundred Blade -Gets adrenaline up well
Free Slot
'For Great Justice!'
Physical Resistance
Many other builds work i just made this one up so not all is lost.

Well, yes. Shards are still worth like 2k, and the golds are still very good. A perfect chaos axe still sells for a lot, and so do shadow things.
Actually I think as the price of ecto gets progressively crappier, people will start running FoW again.

No. They have interrupts, that is why you use Physical resistance, because it has no casting time.

instead of +120 ac or somewith like that u have 2 possibilities imo:
75% block all the time
or
great heal xD
maybe a war/par build with soldiers defense..be creative^^
